This small oil painting is part of my mini moody collection.
‘Awaiting’ represents the balance between chaos and calm, this is a minimalist composition showing the dark black skies over a beautiful golden field.
When I was creating this piece, I wanted it to be about inviting the viewer to really look into the darkness, making you create all different types of thoughts and transcend you into this world I have created.
The straight line going through this painting is very important to the minimalism of this piece and also inspired by Rothko who was also amazing at wanting the viewer to contemplate what they are seeing.
I absolutely loved creating this piece and I can’t wait for someone to enjoy it in their home.
