This original oil painting is part of a small canvas collection called Mini Moody’s.
This small oil painting was inspired by the unbound nature of storms. I wanted to paint a fierce wild looking storm showing how sometimes they cannot be contained. The power of this storm is unstoppable and free. When painting this piece I wanted to create motion in the clouds so that when you glance at it from the corner of your eye it looks like the painting is moving.
This painting was about showing the striking balance between the beauty of a storm and danger that accompanies it. I wanted to capture a brief intense moment on canvas of a storm that is about to unleash.
A mini moody painting that I absolutely enjoyed and loved to paint. I hope this shines through and I’m proud that it is part of the collection.
